Police set to commence investigation into the death of 15yrs old girl in Ogun

The spokesperson of Ogun State Police Command, SP Omolola Odutola, has confirmed the commencement of investigation into the death of Miracle Ogbonna. According to report, Miracle Ogbonna, a 15 years old girl was electrocuted while fetching water on Sunday at Olomore housing estate in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

According to an eye witness, the girl was electrocuted by a naked cable of the pumping machine placed in the well. More so, there was an outage at the time Miracle went to fetch water in the well. She was electrocuted when the light was restored while she was fetching water.

Miracle Ogbonna was later rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed died, and her body sent to the Oke Lantoro morgue. Furthermore, the spokesperson of Ogun State Police Command, SP Omolola Odutola, in his statement confirmed the incident.

According to the spokesperson, the incident was reported to the Divisional Police Officer of Lafenwa. He confirmed that Miracle’s body had been sent to Oke Lantoro after she was pronounced dead. Also, SP Omolola Odutola vowed that the police would ensure that it unravels the circumstances leading to the death of Miracle Ogbonna.
