A commercial vehicle driver identified as Godwin Deewii has recounted how he evaded kidnappers with his 18 passengers alongside Abonema-Degema-Emuoha Road in River state.

While speaking with a radio host in Port Harcourt, the driver narrated how the terrorist wanted to hijack his fully loaded bus with passengers.

Deewii revealed the rogues appeared from a bush nearby, sensing danger he accelerated and sped off. According to him, the hoodlums shot at the vehicle but he escaped with his passengers.

The driver, however, expressed disappointment as none of his passengers acknowledged his courage. Deewii sustained gunshot injury.
