Senate summons CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele

The Nigerian Senate has summoned Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele over the devaluation of the Naira value.

Recall that Naira had fallen to N658 per Dollar on Friday bully 22 amid higher dollar demand.

The decision of the upper legislative chamber came after a motion moved by a senator representing Ekiti North, Olubunmi Adetunmbi at its sitting on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

The motion became adopted after Senate President, Ahmed lawan put it to a voice vote
