Terrorist attack Military checkpoint in Zuma Rock, Abuja, reportedly kills Soldiers

An unverified number of soldiers have reportedly been killed by Boko Haram terrorist who stormed the Army checkpoint around Zuma rock. The attack took place on Thursday night around Zuma Rock which is between the FCT and Niger State Border.

Reports revealed the terrorist arrived at the Highway around 8:30 pm and opened fire on the soldiers from different angles, taking them by surprise.

Witness reports revealed the bandits were reportedly making an eastern push into the nation’s capital when Nigerian soldiers intercepted them at joint security forces barricades close to Zuma Rock.

Videos circulating on social media revealed severe traffic build-up as motorists remained trapped on the Abuja-Kaduna highway amidst fear of being caught in the crossfire.

However, at the time of making this report, the military is yet to statement to ascertain the number of casualties.
