Tinubu urges Wike to join APC

The president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has urged FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, to join the All Progressive Congress (APC). Tinubu, during the commission of road projects in Abuja, disclosed that his party would welcome him if he decided to join.

According to report, FCT has begun 17-day inauguration activities to mark the second year of the president’s administration. The invitation came following the minister’s statement that any planned coalition to unseat the president in 2027 would fail.

Wike, while, commending the president for his infrastructure projects, reaffirmed his support and commitment to the administration. The minister noted that the president’s drive has boosted contractor’s confidence in delivering good projects across the capital.

He also vows to complete all the ongoing projects before the third anniversary of the president’s administration. Reacting to this, tinubu appreciates the minister for the renovation of his international conference center in Abuja.

The president also commended the Federal Capital Territory administration for collaborating to deliver the project. According to him, the project is a testament to his commitment to transforming and reforming the country.

The president noted on Wednesday that road projects are essential for infrastructural development.

He reaffirms that the FCT administration invests in roads, education, health care and digital infrastructure for the country’s development.

He reiterated that infrastructure is the root behind global recognition and also essential for local and global industrialization. Tinubu adds that his governance has been guided by a philosophy focused on revitalization and regeneration since his inauguration in May 2023.

He also commended the administration for peaceful relocation and compensation of the communities along the road, during the project. Similarly, he appreciates the traditional rulers for their support and cooperation with Wike in executing and delivering road projects.
