British troops fired into a crowd, killing five civilians, including Crispus Attucks. This event fueled the growing resentment against British rule and played a crucial role in the lead-up to the American Revolution.

Stalin’s Death Marks the End of an Era (1953)

The Soviet Union’s authoritarian leader Joseph Stalin died on March 5, 1953, after suffering a stroke days earlier. His death marked the end of a brutal regime characterized by purges, forced labor camps, and widespread repression. Stalin’s passing led to a power struggle in the Soviet Union and a shift in global Cold War dynamics.
