One dies as Kidnappers fling victims into the river

Unknown Gunmen have abducted and thrown some of their victims off a bridge to a drainage tunnel. It was reported the incident happened on Sunday at Alor, Idemili South LGA, Anambra state.

According to the report, the victims were abducted along Nnobi-Nnewi Road and taken to Alor, where they were later thrown down into Obiaja River.

One of the victims narrated his ordeal in a video-making round on the internet. The victim stated he was driving in his private car with one other person before he was abducted around 9 p.m.

The victim stated that the kidnappers threw them down from a 20foot high bridge. However, the second victim didn’t survive the fall as his lifeless body was found in the drainage.

Anambra State Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Tochuckuwu Ikenga confirmed the incident.
Tochukuwu said, “The man was rescued and he is currently receiving treatment in a hospital. He was later identified and united with his family members. Meanwhile, the second victim has been taken to a morgue and investigation has since commenced.”
