The Ogun state command has arrested a woman identified as Deborah for allegedly stabbing two ladies during a tussle in the Aiyetoro area of the state. The victims, Adebayo Kehinde and Kolapo Aishat were reportedly stabbed with broken bottles multiple times and injured on January 30, 2025.

More so, the spokesperson for the state police command, Omolola Odulola, disclosed this while speaking to reporters on Thursday. Odulola explained that after the incident, the suspect tried fleeing the scene but was arrested a few days later.

She added that the suspect who has been in detention since Wednesday, has confessed to the crime after subsequent and continuous interrogation. Further, Odulola also revealed that Deborah stabbed the victims in their breasts, eyes, and other parts which left the victims in critical condition.

The spokesperson mentioned that the suspect will be charged in court to face prosecution once the investigation is completed. Likewise, she stated that medical teams have been dispatched to assist the victims, who have been taken to the hospital.

Recall that earlier this year, Police apprehended a 22-year-old woman, Iyanu Adedeji for stabbing her husband, Funsho Jimoh to death. The suspect reported herself to a Divisional Police Station in the Gbonogun area of Abeokuta where the incident took place.

According to the security officer in the house, the couple with two children started arguing after Funsho accused Iyanu of extramarital affairs. The source disclosed that the argument later resulted in a brawl and during the fight, Iyanu allegedly stabbed Funsho in the chest.

The source noted that the wife rushed him to the Federal Medical Centre Idi Aba, where the doctor confirmed him dead. Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the state police command, Omolola Odulola, disclosed that the suspect has been arrested and the knife she used has been recovered.

Omolola also stated that there is an ongoing investigation, and the case will soon be handed over to the SCID for thorough investigation.
