Women arraigned for selling twins N3m, killing mum

Three women have been arraigned by Enugu state police command for alleged conspiracy, trafficking of newborn, and killing of their mother.

According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Daniel Ndukwe, the suspects are Ukorie Cynthia(25), Onyia Pauline(56), and Aroh ijeoma(39).

As reported, the suspects were arrested on July 26, 2022, following a complaint that they conspired and sold the twins belonging to 31-year-old Chinenye Odoh.

The suspects went ahead to poison the mother of
the twins after she discovered she was given an amount lesser than the amount her babies were sold.

The case has been adjourned to October 5, 2022, for trial.
