A Nigerian family has captured the admiration of many across the country and beyond after a video emerged showing three generations of female lawyers celebrating a historic moment.
The video, which has since gone viral on social media platforms, features a newly called-to-bar young woman standing proudly beside her mother and grandmother, both seasoned legal practitioners themselves.
The scene has melted hearts and sparked a wave of praise for what many have described as an inspiring symbol of legacy, perseverance, and the power of family tradition.
In the video, shared by a Facebook user Olawoyin Eidris, identified the trio as seen fully robed in their legal attire, white shirts, bibs, and wigs, with both the mother and the new lawyer putting on a white robe, while the grandma is seen putting on red robe.
The legal profession generation, standing in line with as they introduced themselves in a symbolic exchange: “I’m not the new lawyer,” the grandmother began with a warm smile,
“I’m not the new lawyer,” echoed the mother, “I am the new lawyer!” the newest barrister concluded joyfully, as her predecessors beamed with pride.
The post has since gained traction, attracting thousands of views and comments from Nigerians and legal professionals who hailed the family’s dedication to academic and professional excellence.
The young woman was one of many called to the Nigerian Bar during the latest ceremony conducted by the Nigerian Law School, under the auspices of the Nigerian Bar Association.
