The Minister of Labor, Senator Chris Ngige has said that the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities will be fully addressed very soon.
He made this disclosure shortly after the Federal Executive Council Meeting presided by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Recall that the Academic union had since February embarked on a nationwide strike after accusing the Federal Government of abandoning the 2009 negotiations.
Ngige hinted that the Federal Government has been engaging with ASUU and other striking unions, despite insinuations that it has been snubbing the union.
Recall that Afrocover earlier reported that the Nonacademic Staff Union and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities extended its ongoing strike by two months on Wednesday.
