The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC announced it has added a two weeks extension to the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration. The electoral body also stated the exercise has been extended to eight hours daily instead of the current six hours.
INEC made this development known during the extraordinary session which took place on Friday. According to INEC commissioner for information and voters Education, Festus Okoye, the registration exercise now includes weekends.
The earlier scheduled CVR deadline of June 30, has now been rescheduled to July 30 following a two-time two weeks extension. The commissioner has urged citizens to make use of this opportunity to get their voter registration done.
