A wrestler identified as Thank-You Grim in the Guyuk Local Government Area of Adamawa has been sentenced to death for killing his wife, Kwalla Grim.

Thank-You was sentenced to death by hanging after Adamawa state Chief Judge, Justice Nathan Musa, found him guilty.

Delivering his judgment, Justice Musa said, “The prosecution was able to prove with cogent evidence that the convict actually killed the deceased. Therefore, the convict is accordingly sentenced to death by hanging as provided by Section 192(b) of Penal Code Law.”

It was gathered that the convict caused the death of his wife on March 24, 2018.

According to court records, Thank-You “wrestled his wife to the ground and used pestle in smashing her face in a dreadful manner with the knowledge that her death would be probable of his act.”

As revealed, the marriage between the couple was on the verge of breaking before the incident claimed Kwalla’s life.

Reportedly, the victim fell in love with another man and decided to remarry.

She mounted pressure on Thank-You to divorce her after she  fell in love with another man and wanted to remarry, which he refused.
It was gathered that  thank you, who had earlier rejected the divorce, suddenly agreed and lured her to his house, only to plead with her to return to the marriage.
She, however, refused his requests.

Thank-you claimed he did not know when he wrestled her to the ground and used the pestle to attack her. He also chased the neighbors who tried to interfere away.
