Three All Progressive Congress State Governors has on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to Akure, Ondo State capital. This is in commiseration with  fellow governor, Rotimi Akeredolu on the attack at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo by gunmen last week Sunday.

The governors include Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, and their counterparts from Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun. who all donated N25 million each, totaling N75 million for the victims of the bloodbath.

Also part of the Visitors who paid the condolence visit to the state was Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the former Governor of Ogun State, as they all described the attack as barbaric and intolerant.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, speaking on behalf of his counterparts, said, the attack was not just on the good people of Owo and Ondo State but the entire South-West region.

He said the attack was launched in the state and the state Governor’s hometown just to frustrate the governor for his role in the region’s security unit ‘Amotekun’ as he used them in ensuring peace, law, and orderliness in the state.

Members of the State Executive council led by the secretary to the state government, Princess Oladunni Odu, also join the Host Governor to receive the Governors and their entourage.

Earlier, the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress APC Bola Ahmed Tinubu donated N50 million to the victims, and the governor’s latest donation totaled N125 million.
