The federal government has declared the issue going on between ASUU and other university-based unions is not as simple as Nigerians assumed.

Recall the Academic staff union commenced its indefinite strike on February 14 over the unsettled case with the federal government.

Minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed disclosed to newsmen after the close of the Federal Executive council meeting, that the government is troubled over the lengthy closure of the public institutions. According to him, all measures are being taken to ensure all issues are settled as soon as possible.

He further declared to newsmen that the ASUU strike is not as simple as most Nigerians believe. He has however assured Nigerians a lot is going on behind the scene. “We’re worried, we’re concerned, and we’ll continue to work towards finding an early resolution of the problem,” he said.
