Pa Ayodele Adebanjo, an Afenifere Leader and Yoruba Elder Stateman, has thrown weight behind the presidency bid of Peter Obi, the Labour Party Presidential flag bearer.

He expressed his dissatisfaction in Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress during Yoruba Gbode Programme on an online radio which was held on zoom and also streamed on youtube. His satisfaction is as a result of Tinubu alliance with Buhari which he thinks is not favourable to the Yorubas.

“Tinubu kept silent when Yoruba were being killed and kidnapped because Buhari had promised him presidency after him.” He said.

During the programme hosted by Sola Yussuf and with the host of others like Adeniran Adeboye, Biyi Oyefule, he said they should encourage Yoruba to support Peter Obi.

He said “Tinubu is for the Hausa, Atiku is for the Hausa. It is only Obi that belong to us.” Therefore, people should encourage others to support him as he is the only hope for the people.
