Breaking: CBN approves circulation of Old naira notes

The Central Bank of Nigeria has approved the payment of old naira across all banks Automated Teller Machine(ATM) terminals and over the counter.

The development was confirmed by the apex bank spokesperson, Isa Abdulmumin on Tuesday.

He noted that the development is in compliance with the supreme court order of extending the old notes till December 31, 2023.

The old naira is now a legal tender across all financial outlets in the country.

However, the Central Bank is yet to give an official statement at the time of filing this report.
