Buhari to meet presidential aspirants tomorrow

The president, General Muhammadu Buhari, is expected to address the Presidential hopeful of the All Progressive Congress before Sunday.

President Buhari ignored the ongoing crisis within the party while preparing for a trip to Ghana today(Saturday).

According to a report revealed by a Top government official through The Punch, the president is expected to arrive in the country later in the day. The source stated the president is expected to return from Ghana later in the evening and address the aspirants.
AfroCover had earlier reported President Buhari met with APC governors on Tuesday ahead of the party Convention.

The Special Adviser to the president, Femi Adesina revealed the outcome of the meeting in a statement titled ” We must show positive qualities of APC at our convention, President Buhari charges governors.

The meeting held at State House, Abuja came amid presumptions that the president may appt an aspirant before the convention. He President also admonished the governors to elect a candidate that reflects the integrity and virtues of the party.

Reacting on behalf of other state governors, Kebbi State Governor and chairman of APC governorship forum, Atiku Badugu, stated the party must build on success of the recent elective convention.

He admonished party members to appoint a candidate who will embrace the footstep of patriotism and love for the country as demonstrated by the President.
