A 55year old man has lost his life while lodging with his girlfriend at the City International Motel, Council Bus-Stop in the Ikotun area of Lagos State.

The man identified as Abdulwaheed Lamidi and his lover met physically after a series of romantic conversations online.

It was gathered that the  lover left her base in another state to meet lamidi in Lagos. The lovers were said to have spent the night together in a motel room before things took an ugly turn around 8am on Sunday morning

A witness stated the lovers were in the room when the girlfriend suddenly ran out to call for help. The witness added Lamidi was found motionless on the ground when the motel workers came in.

A doctor that works in an hospital close to the motel was called, and he confirmed the man dead.

The corpse of Lamidi was deposited in a mortuary while the woman was arrested for interrogation.

Lagos state police public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident. However, he stated the suspect has declined to involve her parent in the investigation.
