Nigerian On-Air Personality, Chinedu Emmanuel popularly known as Nedu Wazobia has quit The Honest Bunch Podcast. This is amidst controversy surrounding social commentator, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman.

This dispute began after reality star Deeone appeared on the Honest Bunch Podcast, claiming that Verydarkman has an interest in men.

In retaliation, the social commentator instead of responding to this allegation, decided to focus on Nedu, who was part of the show’s hosts.

Verydarkman went on to release private conversations, making allegations about the women the radio personality has apparently been involved with.

As this discord grew, Nedu took to his Instagram page to share his decision to quit the podcast. In a statement he released on Friday, Nedu explained that this decision is necessary, citing the desire to protect his peace, family and the integrity of the show.

He noted that the show has been an incredible journey of open conversations, bold perspectives and willingness to tackle difficult topics. However, the responsibility of hosting this show has come with an overwhelming level of scrutiny, antagonism and unfounded accusations that are starting to  take a personal toll.

Nedu added that he has decided to step away from the podcast in regards to the recent events. He highlighted that he is commited to honest conversations, however, the relentless attacks, and misrepresentation is a sign that stepping back is the best decision.

Lastly, Nedu said that he hoped that this decision would halt the negativity surrounding his name and The Honest Bunch Show.

He affirmed his interest in fostering dialogue in ways that encourage meaningful engagement and growth, adding that he’s looking forward to new opportunities that align with that vision.
