OurFavOnlineDoc drags Daddy Freeze over CoS visa claims
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

Popular UK-based Nigerian medical doctor and influencer, Dr Olufunmilayo Oluyemi Ogunsanya on Wednesday has reacted to a recent video of Daddy Freeze. In his post, the influencer commonly known as “OurFavOnlineDoc” on X (formerly Twitter) responded to the claims of Daddy Freeze who claimed that he can speak to the United Kingdom authorities to deport Nigerians with Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) visas.

In the now-viral video, Daddy Freeze contended that if Nigerians continue to make him angry, he has the connection to ensure that the UK government sends them home en masse. The popular video attracted the attention of numerous Nigerians including OurFavOnlineDoc.

In his post on X, the influencer referred to Daddy Freeze as a “garrulous clown” who thinks the UK is doing a favor to Nigerians for issuing them work visas. OurFavOnlineDoc explained that the United Kingdom needs Nigerians in specific professions. More so, the medical practitioner stated that Nigerians with CoS visas contribute a significant quota to the UK society and the British economy at large.

This garrulous clown, Daddy Fooling (or what is his name), thinks the uk govt is doing Nigerians a favour by issuing work visas to Nigerians.

Lets be clear about something:
The uk NEEDS Nigerians in specific professions. The uk NEEDS Nigerians who can help do some specific jobs.… https://t.co/lXbc2tnSZ2

Likewise, OurFavOnlineDoc added that the CoS visa is not issued on the premise of pity by the UK government to Nigerians. Consequently, the influencer said Daddy Freeze is foolish to insinuate that the UK government can revoke such a visa due to anger. He added that the UK is different from Nigeria where one can just wake up making baseless claims without due consultation.

Meanwhile, in early 2024, Afrocover reported that the UK government released a list of companies that are qualified to sponsor Nigerians for work visas. In the report, the approved companies cut across commerce, education, media, advertisement, and engineering. In addition, the UK government released details about the category of workers that can benefit from the sponsorship.

How Daddy Freeze Apologized and Denied the Claims

Meanwhile, in a separate video released later in the day, Daddy Freeze downplayed what he said earlier. In the new video, the OAP emphasized that he has no power or intention to deport Nigerians who traveled to the UK via the CoS route.

Apologies noted sir. Please let’s be a lot more watchful of the things we say in the name of anger.

A lot of Nigerians here in uk- especially people on COS visa- are not here as a favour by the uk govt. They are here because these are highly needed and highly sought-after… https://t.co/iu2cy7S1Zz

The celebrity explained further that the much-criticized video is a reaction to a false accusation by a lady named Mary. He regarded his earlier video as a distasteful comment while he tendered his apology.

On the flip side, OurFavOnlineDoc reacted to the new video. He thanked the OAP for apologizing and refuting the claims. The medical practitioner went on to urge others that they should be mindful of what they say whenever they are angry.
