Barely 24 hours after being deposed by the military, Gabonese president, Ali Bongo Ondimba, has called on his friends from all over the world to make noise and see to his release and restoration as president of Gabon.

The civilian President who was placed under house arrest shortly after the successive takeover by the junta the video clip, was reported to be calling for his friends to make noise to the world about the coup following his house arrest by the coup leaders, while one of his sons was arrested for treason.

 

The coup leaders had earlier said in a statement read on state TV that President Ali Bongo is under house arrest, surrounded by his family and doctors.

“My name is Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of Gabon. I am sending a message to all friends that we have all over the world, to tell them to make noise, to make noise,” distressed Bango was quoted saying in the 50 seconds video clip
