Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has stated his administration will be rigorous on commercial motorcyclists who refused to register with the state government.

The governor made this known through his Executive Assistant on Administration and General Service during the Oyo State Correspondents’ Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists.

According to the Governor, registration of commercial motorcycles and their drivers is very crucial to prohibit terrorists from masking themselves as drivers in the state.

He further stated that the registration comprises Biometric data capturing of all operators including their names, phone numbers, and addresses.

Oyo state Road Transport Management Authority has been authorized to arrest anyone who refuses to register.
