According to reports, Anambra State former governor and presidential hopeful on the platform of the People Democratic Party have left the party. The Ex governor’s exit came in on eve of the much-awaited presidential primaries.

The politician expresses his fear of imminent humiliation at a convention in Abuja.

In an interview with a local media, Mr. Obi confirmed his exit was a result of a perceived boycott from party members. He however didn’t disclose the next party he is moving to.

This decision has therefore placed further attention on the party primaries this weekend. Peter Obi was one of the party presidential race, alongside Atiku, Nyesom Wike, Dele Momofu, and Bukola saraki.
According to a close, source, the presidential hopeful exited as a result of fear of performing woefully in the coming primaries, despite his reputation and popularity among Nigerians.
