President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to depart for a summit in Paris, France. According to emerging reports, the president could be on his way to the European country to meet his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron.

Reports indicated that the president will depart for France on Wednesday with the intention of discussing bilateral trade, partnership and investment opportunities. Similarly, the discussion will reportedly extend to the advancement of artificial intelligence and how it can benefit Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the latest trip to France marks the sixth time Bola Tinubu will visit Macron since May 2023. More so, the president will also head to Ethiopia for the upcoming 38th African Summit (AU).

According to the statement by the special adviser to the president on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the summit will take place February 12 to 16, 2025 in Addis Ababa.

Bayo revealed that the summit will focus on issues affecting the continent relating to economic, security, instability and other developmental initiatives.

Also, representatives of nearly 100 nations are set to gather at the event to discuss the need for historical injustices. The appearance of Bola Tinubu at the summit will underline the commitment of Nigeria towards African economic growth and development.

Lastly, the president is expected to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit.
