Yahaya Bello gets N500m bail, barred from foreign trips

During its sitting on Thursday, the Maitama Federal High Court in Abuja granted 500m bail to Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi state. Bello was being tried for alleged 10.4bn fraud.

The judge also ruled that the ex-governor should deposit his passport, stating that he cannot leave the country.

Bello was arraigned alongside Shuaibu Oricha on 16 counts charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on November 27
