The Nigeria Police command, Ogun State Division has debunked the rumor that some days ago about 20 people were abducted by armed men at Kara Bridge in Ifo Local Government of Ogun state.

This was made known to news men by the Police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, following a news brief by The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Warewa Police Division, Fatai Ogunsanya, over highway robbery in Kara bridge and Otedola Bridge.

It has been reported earlier that Robbers dispossessed commuters of valuable items which left some travelers to flee for their lives

The robbers took advantage of the traffic congestion on the bridge, occasioned by the downpour, to injure and dispossess people of their belongings.

Some of the victims narrated their ordeal separately in the hands of the armed robbers to news men, Mr Dele Oluwadara, a resident of Mowe, a satellite town of Ogun State, said he left his house by 5am, adding that if he failed to leave that early he might get to his office in Victoria Island very late. He wondered how long his bosses could tolerate his lateness to work.

Another Victim appealed that the bad portion at Kara be repaired to avoid the same occurrence in another time.
